OK. First of all...for the kids there will be snacks, live music, facepainting, kids yoga. And if you can believe it...more!!
There will be exhibits...our our little art fair going on within the NowHouse! Jewelry, clothing, art inspired gifts and crafts. Plus, a special exhibit from the JCCs Janice Charash Gallery!!
We will be having mini Kids Empowered Workshops too!! They are fun for the kids PLUS they try to instill the power of your words and how to empower yourself. Which, in todays society, with the rise of bully incidents...it's so incredibly important that our kids know how to stand tall and proud and stick up for themselves while remaining good people!!
Finally, and very importantly...
Heart And Soles.
Bring your old, unwanted shoes. We have a donation box set up. There are so many who are in need. And we can give. So whaddya say? Let's!! Scoop up all those shoes that are laying around in your closets and bring them over to 135 N. Old Woodward. We have a perfect place for them...the feet of someone who needs. Desperately.

iMatter for Kids, in partnership with Winning Futures, is implementing a character education program in the Birmingham Public Schools. A pilot program will start at Pierce Elementary in September 2011. The goal is to roll the program out to multiple schools over the next five years. The Winning Futures’ Road to Success curriculum will be the backbone of the program which will including mentoring sessions and family workshops.
